Strawberry Banana (and Kale) Smoothie
Use this smoothie formula to start your day off with fruits, veggies, and some protein in a breakfast that takes 60 seconds to put together and is commute-friendly.

Serves: 2
  • 1 cup milk (dairy, almond, etc.) or yogurt
  • 3 cups greens (kale, spinach, etc.), center vein removed (depending on your blender)
  • 1 cup berries
  • 1 banana, peeled (I don't care how good your blender is)
  • 1 cup ice
  1. Add ingredients in the order recommended by your blender manufacturer (most likely, the order listed here) until smooth. Taste before pouring into glasses so adjustments can be made easily.
You can easily add chia seeds, flax seeds, brans, or any other healthy boost to this smoothie. If your greens are particularly bitter, try adding a squeeze of lemon or lime juice. If your berries aren't very sweet, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup.
